ABOUT SHIATSU
Shiatsu is a non-invasive form of therapeutic technique developed in Japan through a synthesis of Eastern and Western medical concepts. It is used as a compliment to conventional medicine and as a preventative/alternative therapy. The word "Shiatsu" translates as "finger pressure". It is the application of manual and digital pressure to the skin to prevent and cure illnesses by stimulating the body's natural powers of recuperation and eliminating fatigue-producing elements.

How Can Shiatsu Benefit your Health and Well being?
Shiatsu employs the use of fingers and palms to apply sustained, vertical pressure to acupoints throughout the body, penetrating gently but deeply to stimulate the neuromuscular system which helps improve circulation, relieves stiff muscles, alleviates stress, and also increases the strength of the immune system. By limbering the muscles and freeing up the body's myofascial matrix, Shiatsu also facilitates increased range of motion and allows the skeletal system to rediscover it's natural alignment. Proponents believe that Shiatsu helps with a number of conditions:
